I am a trained Trauma Informed practitioner.
Polyvagal theory and advances in neuroscience mean we better understand how our body is continually doing its best to keep us safe. Gentled by these insights we can meet our defence pathways with kindness and compassion.
As we walk through life, our body transcribes our experiences into default thought patterns, reactive behaviour, held physical tension, subconscious drivers and beliefs. At some point, we may no longer find these useful, we may wish to let go of what kept us safe in the past. We now have space to creatively sculpt a new story that expresses more of ourselves and our potential.
I offer a safe, non-judgmental space to witness stress, anxiety and trauma. Through gentle body orientated tools and techniques we can calm the nervous system, release the past and facilitate change. This work can track back into ancestral patterns that may still be impacting our lives today.
